Cub Scout Pack 30, in Berkeley, CA, is a parent-run organization, teaching the values and ideals of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. We emphasize cooperation. The Pack consists of children and their parents from the Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, and surrounding areas.
Pack 30 is part of the Herms District of the Golden Gate Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Our pack is chartered by Epworth United Methodist Church and uses their facilities for our meetings and events.

We meet on Monday evenings during the school year.
Our Pack meets monthly in both Pack and Den meetings and for special activities. Dens, organized by grade level, meet the first week of the month. During Den meetings, Scouts play games, participate in other activities, and work on their advancement requirements. The entire Pack generally meets on the third Monday of each month. During Pack meetings, there are fun activities, special guest speakers and presentations, and award ceremonies. Previous guest speakers include Olympic athletes, elected officials, public safety officials, and a nuclear physicist. Additionally, we hold many special events and activities throughout the year.

Pack 30 welcomes all children and all families. Cub Scouting is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, or ages 6 to 10.
We are inclusive, open, and welcoming to any family who wishes to participate in Scouting. We choose adult leaders based only on their leadership qualities and enthusiastic volunteerism, emphasizing the rights, safety and dignity of all.
