While our Scouting year officially ends in June, Pack 30 is offering some activities in the coming months to keep Scouts active throughout the summer, and to give the Scouts a chance to earn the National Summertime Activity Award.

To earn the National Summertime Activity Award, a Scout must participate in a Scouting event in the months of June, July, and August.

This year, the qualifying activities are:

June:

• Den meetings
• Potluck Picnic Pack meeting
• Cub Scout day camp at Camp Herms

July:

• Pack Hike at Huckleberry Regional Preserve, Oakland

August:

• Pack Hike at Rodeo Lagoon, Marin Headlands

Our meetings and events calendar for the 2017-2018 Scouting year has been published.  We have a busy year planned with many special events – highlights include our Fall camping trip to Del Valle Regional Park, our Pinewood Derby events in March, hikes throughout the year to Briones, Redwood Creek, and more, our overnight trip in April,.and our Spring camping trip in May.  We’re looking forward to another fun-filled year of Scouting!

Our first Pack meeting for the next Scouting year will be on Monday, September 18th, 6:45 PM-8:00 PM.  Location is still up in the air, as our normal meeting place at Epworth United Methodist Church will be undergoing construction.
